Leave it to Leslie is an at home service with a personal touch. Leave it to Leslie is owned and operated by a dynamic mother daughter duo, Leslie and Caitlyn Lankford. We have lived in the Austin area since 1978.

I am a 48 year old Social worker with 25 years experience working with children and the elderly. I have worked with Alzheimer patients, head injury patients, adults and children with physical and/or mental disabilities. I have raised 35 foster children over the past 20 years. Providing care for others has always been a rewarding experience for me.

I will provide quality, low cost home care for the elderly, children, house and pet sitting. I am able to listen and communicate effectively with my clients. This enables me to assess my client’s needs effectively in order to provide the best possible personal care I can. I know from my own personal experience, how difficult it can be to allow someone in your home and trust that they will take care of your loved ones like you would. I commit to provide the best possible care I can. Your family is my family.

I enjoy meeting and interacting with new people. I am told that I never meet a stranger, which enables me to establish rapport quickly with my clients. I want to capitalize on my strengths and skills and provide the highest quality of care for my families.

My compassion for others and my positive approach to life are my greatest strengths. I have a good sense of humor and I am very playful. I have the ability to redirect, motivate, and empower my clients towards achieving independence. I am organized, reliable, and optimistic by nature. As a caregiver I am organized, detailed oriented, and believe in treating everyone with dignity and respect.

My experience with animals comes from my own love of cats and dogs. Fortunately, I grew up with both sets of Grandparents having farms. On their farms, I was exposed to unlimited experiences with all types of animals. There were endless playmates for me at the farms because there were always new kittens, puppies, cows or chicks just to name a few. These experiences fostered my love for animals. My Parents are also animal lovers, which only reinforced the importance of caring for and loving animals.

I love taking care of my home and family. I love to bake, cook and I am a scratch cook. I am neat and clean. I love plants and gardening. Whether I am providing elder care, child care, house or pet sitting, I know how important these things are to me, so I am able take that same type of care and pride in caring for your family!

I currently reside in the Lakeway area and I am willing to serve anyone in the greater Austin area.

 

Caitlyn Roxanne Lankford is a mature young woman who has grown up in the presence of foster children. Her wit and compassion make her popular with kids and animals. She is a responsible driver, and a compassionate caregiver. She has a large repertoire of skills, experience, and education that she brings to the table. She is artistic, logical, able to problem solve and involved in athletics.

Leslie took care of my home, pets and contractors while we went off to vacation. It was very comforting to have someone watching over the ranch. There was a sale pending and a lot of details which Leslie handled well. She even took us to the airport and picked us up - a great service, saving time, avoiding stressed out driving and two weeks of parking fees. She kept the place tidy for showings and provided a great sense of security.

Leslie came to our house and stayed for two weeks while we were out of the country. Before we left for our trip, Leslie came to our house to talk about her responsibilities. She asked a lot of questions and took very thorough notes while here.

We have a cat and 3 hermit crabs that she was taking care of. I felt very confidant while on our trip that Leslie was taking her job very seriously and taking extremely good care of our pets and house. I never worried about anything. If Leslie had any questions she promptly emailed me and/or talked to the neighbor.

Upon our return, we found our pets were healthy and happy, our plants not only thriving but also the dead leaves clipped and cleaned up, our mail stacked neatly on the desk, and the house cleaner than when I left it. And to our pleasant surprise, we found a thank you note with a gift on the table.

Leslie not only met our expectations but she definitely exceeded them. I am looking forward to using her services in the future and I will recommend her to all my friends.
